Tanabata Decoration

It`s month of July!! And on July 7th, the Japanese celebrate Tanabata Festival (Evening of the seventh Festival).
During this time of the year, we can find bamboo branches with pieces of papers hanging all over them. What are these papers? If we get closer, we will find ppl wishes written on those papers….

やっと北海道旅行の計画を立てました！(Finally, completed planning Hokkaido trip!)

I am sleep deprived planning for our summer holiday trip to Hokkaido Island lately. Chose to do it at night when the kids are sleeping and the call rate is lower.  Finally, all the major decisions made, and hotels and tickets booked. The main part of the trip is to visit Furano and Biei. But the flower calendar says the lavender can only be viewed till end/July. I hope there will still be some lavender when we get there in August.
Since we are planning to drive back to Toyota driving through the Japan Sea route, now I have to start the 2nd chapter of our summer trip. I wonder if anyone have any suggestions on MUST-SEE in Akita, Yamagata, Niigata prefecture.

Driving to Gamagori City
|

We were suppose to go to Jusco Okazaki to buy my Clinique facial soap, but when we were on the big road in front of Jusco, the road sign show go straight says Gamagori 23km.
Gamagori is a one of seaside sightseeing spot in Achi Prefecture. We follow the road until we met the sea. And we stop at Gamagori Yacht Harbor beside Laguna Gamagori theme park and took these pics. It was drizzling, we spent about 10min and turn back to Okazaki. We will come back to visit Laguna Gamagori someday.

大林小学校の授業参観 (Class observation @ Obayashi Elementary School)

The class starts at 850am, and I was 15 min late as I need to send Ariana first before I rush to Arisa`s school which is at the other end of our place. By the time I arrived, they were in the middle of making Orizome (traditional Japanese patterns of dyeing).

永新こども園の保育参観 (Nursery participating @ Eishin Kindy)

This is the first Hoiku-sankan for Ariana. Parents are encouraged to participate in this event to watch how their kids are doing at school. The first part was in the class room, where the children and their parents were to make a basket made of PET bottle. This basket is for the children snail picking stroll.
The second part was 45min xtvt under the sun outside, which is not only for the children, but the parents as well!!!. It was sooo hot.....and I am so amaze how other parents can stand under the sun without squirm ……

Ariana was very excited when we bought pool set for her early this month. When the pool session starts, she even stopped her regular morning wailing habit, push me towards the door, and obediently says bye bye....

Wii for the Weekend

Deretan payung dan awan ajer for the nxt few days.....(*sigh~)
Smlm lepas balik dr jalan2 ngan Asilah & Nizam around kul 7pm, sampai2 rumah papa dah balik dr Nagoya. Tak sampai 10 minit, dia ajak keluar g eiden nak beli Wii. Nak perabih voucher yg dpt dr Softbank dan NTT, kata papa.
Wii + WiiSports CD nya 28500yen. Voucher ader 10000yen. Dan Eiden bagi another 1000yen voucher sbb apply Eiden membership. So, we all just bayar 17500yen shj (RM500).
Mlm tadik, lepas budak2 tdo, papa still lagi menghayun2 joystick dpn tv. Nak brush up golf skill katanya.....lawak sungguh.
Pagi ni pukul 7 lagi Ariana dah kejutkan suruh switch on kan Wii.
He he...tgk la betapa beriya nya budak2 ni main. Sampai berpeluh2.

ICT Wives Farewell/Welcome Party

Every 2 mths, we will have this party to celebrate those ICT families who will leave for their home country as well as welcoming those who was just arrived for TMC ICT program.(*Toyota Motor Corporation Inter-Corporate Transfer). I miss nasi lemak bungkus so much, that I decided to make nasi lemak bungkus and bring to the party to share how delicious and unique Malaysian nasi lemak is with others.
The day before, i even went downtown by bicycle with Danusia to buy banana leaves at a Brazillian grocerry store called Koko. It was 8km ride, which took us 40 minute on a very narrow road. Mind you, unlike in Tokyo, ppl in Toyota are much like in Malaysia where ppl just go about by car instead of by bicycle. It was only the 2 of us who was on bicycle on the road all the way .
To Danusia, thank you for willing to show me how to get downtown by bic. Before this I did`t know that it is possible .

Sakura Club - Indonesian Day

This time round, we r having Indonesian day at Sakura Club meeting.
The Indonesian was just great! They cooked plenty of food which were, of course, from halal sources and I get to eat everything. They even prepared a superb performance. The last time I saw Angklung being played was in my std4 (or was it std3?) concert day at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sg Pelong which were...hmmm  ...let me see...24 yrs ago? And what impressed me most was the angklung set. わざわざ持ってきたかな。

Papa cut his hair at barber shop previously for 2000yen (equal to RM60). Back in Kuala Kangsar, for the same cut, at Wa (the barber name), only cost him RM3. This time, he bought hair shaver for 2400yen, and decided that I`ll be his Wa in Japan . Please scroll down to know what happened instead  .
Gomennasai papa... , mintak ampun banyak2, mama tak sengaja....
